A new dwarf columnar Lily-of-the-Valley shrub that has a small footprint. We knew this plant as 'Nana' for some time before being made aware that it is in fact 'Brookside Miniature'. The plant grows twice as high as wide. It appears to grow about 6 iches per year, so in 10 years it will be 4-5 ft. tall. The flower bud clusters are brick-red in winter, opening to pristine white in spring, and are the typical pendulous clusters of the other Pieris japonica cultivars. Easy to grow if given well drained soil and occasional water in the summer and fall. Evergreen.
