Nicolas Japanese Forest Grass
Found in France in a trial garden around 2009, this sport of the Japanese Forest grass is more showy than most. The summer foliage is more green, but as fall approaches and the temperatures dip, the plant begins to turn vibrant colors of orange and red. It can be one of the most noticed in autumn. Also, this variety will be more compact growing to 8-15" tall and will spread to 15-24" wide. Plant with blue or lavender flowering plants like 'Grace Ward' Lithodora, or Erica cinerea 'Miss Waters' for a stunning look that will draw the eye.
