Berberis thunbergii 'Bonanza Gold'

'Bonanza Gold' is a bright golden barberry that has a dwarf growing habit. The arching branches make a good looking compact plant with bright-gold foliage. A low maintenance plant, but does require good drainage to perform well. Add lots of bark or other organic matter to your native soil to insure the plant will be happy and always be thriving. Useful as a specimen or even as a foundation plant. Occasional pruning when dormant in winter will keep it tidy and looking perfect. This plant will grow to 2 ft tall x 3 ft wide in 10 years. Hardy to zone 4. Deer tolerant.
