A striking nearly black, double form of helleboro that is seen in the late winter, into early spring. Excellent for naturalizing in a woodland gardey, or shady borders. Growing to about 18 inches tall and wide, this evergreen perennial is a favorite because it dependably flowers at a time when there is little else blooming. Developed at Northwest Gardens Nursery in Oregon, this one has proven it worth in the winter woodland garden. Hardy to zone 4.
