Growing quite large over time, 10 - 12 feet tall x 15 ft wide, this early blooming form of R. arboreum is a stunning plant. The flowering begins between December and late January most years, and will last well if there are no hard freezes. The foliage is a medium to dark-green with no shine, and will hang a bit in cold weather. It is vigorous and will become large faster than most rhododendrons. A good screening plant. The flowers are a pure bright white, in full tall trusses 5 inches across and 8 inches tall. Our old plant will display hundreds of flowers when in full bloom. We propagate this form because so many customers want one when they see it in full bloom.
