Wate's Golden Virginia Pine
Originating as a selected seedling by a conifer grower in Virginia sometime in the 1960's. The tree is most known for its bright golden color in winter. This is a medium height tree, growing to a mature height of 15-25 feet tall with a pyramidal habit. Plant this tree where it can be seen well in winter with its glowing needles. Pinus virginiana is native to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
