We love the winter heaths as they provide months of rich color in the darker days of winter. Even with some snow cover, the purplish-pink flowers will poke out to show themselves. The evergreen shrub has darker foliage in winter, adding to the charm of the plant. Works nicely as a effective groundcover for sunny locations and will grow well in containers on the deck. This cultivar was found in the Engadive Alps, Switzerland in 1906 and named after his employer.
