Much valued as the only dissected cultivar that has an upright form, growing as much a 10-15 feet tall. In Japanese the name 'Seiryu' means green dragon. The deeply cut leaves are smaller than most other dissectum types, adding to its charm. Also, in spring, the new leaves emerge a pale light-green with reddish tips and edges. The fall color is gold. Another interesting aspect of this tree are the small reddish-purple winged flowers that hang from the branches.
