A newly introduced, very ornamental and distinct species from the South Yunnan/ North Vietnam frontier. The quite large, white and fragrant flowers appear in mid-summer. This vigorous species has foliage similar to that of R. hemsleyanum and R. decorum but with narrower leaves and a more upright and narrow growth habit and much larger flowers. HIGHLY FRAGRANT. Grows tall, to 12 ft. Hardy to zone 6.
