R. 'Yellow Hammer'

Scads of medium yellow tiny, lantern shaped flower cover this vigorous growing rhododendron in mid spring, as well as in the tall. Some people remark that this one blooms several times a year. The plant grows quickly, with pruning an advantage to keep it looking full and attractive. Pruning also increases the number of flowers produced. Small lance shaped leaves are a nice dark-green. Created in England by the Waterer Nursery. Also may have had something to do with the Caerhays Garden and Estate.
