Another Singing Tree Gardens rhododendron hybrid that has promise. The flowers are quite orange from a distance, thus the name. The flowers open with a red-orange color as the bud first shows color, then becomes yellow with orange edges. The flower trusses are not as tight as I would have liked, but good enough to name and register (soon). The foliage is quite handsom, being a medium apple-green color with rounded ends. The hybrid is a cross of R. 'Nancy Evans' x (R. 'Orange Marmalade' x R. 'Lem's Cameo') so will be somewhat tender...most likely zone 8 and 9.
