This is a crazy name for a spectacular new rhododendron hybrid. Created by Dan Bones of Florence, Oregon, the flower is big with a dramatic red-black flare on a white background with a pink frilly edge. There is even some yellow to make it glow. Unique! The plant will grow to 6 ft tall in 10 years, and blooms in April-May. Hardy to 0 degrees F.

· Hard to find – these cultivars are hard to find in the first place, probably because they are hard to root from cuttings
