This unique, A+ foliage plant is one of Jim Barlup's best. A cross between 'yak', R. degronianum ssp. yakushimanum and R. macabeanum resulted in this medium to low growing rhododendron that will be 3 ft tall x 6 ft wide in 10 years. Both parents contribute to the pure white indumentum fuzz on the stems and undersides of the leaves. The pure white flowers have a deep purplish red flare, and have dome shaped trusses of 20 florets. A prize winning foliage plant. Hardy to zone 7.
