An old time rhododendron that came from the Waterer Nursery in England in the 1950's, it is one of the most seen here in the Eureka area of Northern California. Imported from England by Cottage Gardens Nursery that flourished here in the1940's and 1950's, the plant was sold to many home owners here, and now the plants are as big as their house. An old plant of 'Pink Pearl' is a sight to behold in late April or early May here in our area. One can expect this cultivar to be 6ft tall and 8ft wide in 10 years, but over time it will be "as big as a house". Hardy for zones 7,8 and 9.
