R. sargentianum 'Maricee'

A selected form of the species R. sargentianum. This interesting species is perfect for the rock garden, or smaller space up front. The Daphne-like flowers are creamy white and are long lasting of a shrub that only grows to 3 ft tall. The foliage is small and attractive, and appears like an azalea. The tubular flowers can be held in clusters like a miniature rhododendron truss. Hardy to -5 deg F.

Rare Variety – This variety is difficult to find anywhere due to these reasons

·       Hard to propagate – many cultivars do not root easily from cuttings, but at a reduced rate thus making the plant rare.

·       Hard to find – these cultivars are hard to find in the first place, probably because they are hard to root from cuttings
