I am not sure why plants that have black & white flowers are so popular, but they are. This cultivar is a dwarf and compact grower to 3 ft tall in 10 years. The plant is hardy to -5 deg F, so will do well for most east coast growers. The foliage is dark-green and holds on to make a lush and full plant. The blotch in the throat can vary from a dark purple to burgundy.
