Mossman Form of Yak

We found this plant in a private garden in Fort Bragg, Ca and found out that it came from the rhododendron collection of the late Dr. Frank Mossman, in Washington State. It seems to be a more compact form than the true species, but other than that it resembles the true species in every other way. We are growing it due to the fact that it is indeed different. The plant will grow slowly to 18" tall and 2 ft wide in 10 years.

Rare Variety – This variety is difficult to find anywhere due to these reasons
·       Hard to propagate – many cultivars do not root easily from cuttings, but at a reduced rate thus making the plant rare.
·       Hard to find – these cultivars are hard to find in the first place, probably because they are hard to root from cuttings
