Found as a witch's broom on a specimen of Pinus flexilis 'Vanderwolf's Pyramid' at Bizon Nursery, Hubbard Oregon. We like the name, as it relates to the parent cultivar. This cute little pine will be a very squat, dwarf and globose specimen in time with long and fluffy, blue-green needles. After 10 years of growth, this little cutie will be 3 ft across and 2 ft tall. Because the needles are so tight and congested, it may be susceptible to fungal issues, so planting in very well drained soil and spraying with a good fungicide is essential.
