Rare purplecone spruce. Found native to western China and eastern Tibet. The tree grows 4"-6" per year, making a shrubby tree 5 ft tall in 10 years. The cones are purple when young, and measure around 2 inches long. Pyramidal. Useful as a screen or hedge. Will become 30 ft tall over time. Hardy to zone 5.
