Years ago, Don Wallace of Singing Tree Gardens was given seed from Jim Barlup. The cross was R. 'Amber Touch' x R. 'Nelda Peach'. Don grew on a batch of seedlings and selected this one as worthy of naming. He began calling it 'Copper Creek' and after growing it for a few years, decided to start producing them to sell. Our first crop of this new hybrid was released in 2020 and we have been thrilled with both its performance and its reception. Our customers have been as thrilled as we are with this compact bundle of color. The plant grows to 5 ft tall and wide in 10 years and has nice, dark-green leaves with a lovely shine. The flowers are Don's favorite combination of pink, yellow, and orange. Thanks to Jim Barlup, this one is a winner!
Singing Tree Gardens is the sole distributor of Copper Creek and for that reason it is still rare. In fact, you won't find it anywhere except right here. Quantities are limited as we work toward bringing our next crop to a suitable size for sale.
