Nandina domestica 'Burgundy Wine'
Fantastic foliage for contrast makes this Heavenly Bamboo a very useful and valuable addition to any landscape. While actually having small white flowers in springtime, it is not grown for the flowers, but the colorful red foliage. The plant stays compact, growing to be 3ft x 3ft, but can be sheared if a more formal look is desired. The slender foliage offers a fine texture as an additional contrast beyond the color. Great for foundation plantings, as a hedge, or even in a decorative container on the deck. In the late fall, white berries are produced, offering another decoration throughout the winter. Hardy to zone 6. Evergreen.
