Kelly's Prostrate' is a flat prostrate form of Coast Redwood. All branches grow horizontally and we have not seen any upright growth in many years. Also, we have rarely pruned it, only snipping off the branches going out into the lawn area. The cultivar is growing on a raised part of our garden flowing down. People are always amazed that it is a redwood. The foliage is emerald green, but the new growth has a blue tint. This is a very useful groundcover and worth a place in your landscape. Very low maintenance and will choke out weeds.
