Similar to the Temple Juniper J. rigida, but growing lower and wider, this cultivar has long been cultivated by the Japanese in their temple gardens. Revered for its charming and graceful drooping habit, its flaky bark, and decorative berries. Can grow to 8 ft tall, but can spread wider. This one is an outstanding choice for rock gardens or as a specimen tree of interest. Suitable for bonsai. Deer resistant.
