This new lacecap hydrangea has cherry-red to deep-magenta petals that surround a center of light pink fertile florets. In acidic soils the color will be more lavender, but can be adjusted by raising the ph with dolomite. The foliage is dark-green on a shrub growing to 3-4 ft tall and wide, and will turn burgundy as the fall weather sets in. Flowers on old and new wood. Hardy to zone 4.
