Picea abies 'Hildburghausen' is a fairly new cultivar of Norway spruce that makes a tight, globose specimen in the garden. This shape will stay nice and tight with no pruning. Since it grows about 1 inch per year, you can know that the plant will be about 12 inches tall and a bit wider. This variety was found in the town of Hildburghausen in central Germany about 1990. The color is a nice bright green.
