We have had this showy, red double flower hellebores in our gardens for many years, and have lost the label. It does happen. Instead of just guessing from some named cultivars, we decided to just call it a 'double red garden cultivar'.
The dark, glowing double red flowers are so rich in color, and decorate the winter garden for weeks. These deer proof plants are very long lived, maintenance free, and easy to grow, you will love it! The large green foliage looks nice the rest of the year as well. The plants grow to 18" tall and expand every year without being invasive. They prefer shade, but will do well in full sun too. Hardy to zone 5. Blooming February and March.
