Here is a tough and hardy ground cover form of Juniper. The plant will thrive in lousy soil and choke out weeds, plus once established is drought tolerant! Talk about 'low maintenance'. This plant grows about 6 inches per year, covering about 5-6 ft of space in 10 years. Even though the common name is Siberian Juniper, it is also native to the US. There are reports that this cultivar, even though very tough, will not take the heat of the deep south. Our plant, pictured, has been super easy with only a bit of pruning to keep in in bounds.
