Delicious fragrance will waft on the spring breeze from this highly desirable FRAGRANT rhododendron in late April. The plant is a hybrid between the Burmese rhododendron R. veitchianum and R. edgeworthii. This is a heavy flowering plant as you can see from the photo. It is tender, so you will have to live in zone 8, 9 or 10 to grow it. If you have a heated greenhouse you are ok. The flowers are 3 inches across with a light pastel yellow/pink blush over white. Another feature is the cinnamon peeling bark. The plant is a moderate grower, so will be a good sized shrub in 10 years.
