Erica cinerea 'Windlebrook'
A very colorful Scottish heath with golden-yellow needle-like leaves. This slow grower will have lavender flowers in summer, but in winter the foliage becomes firey with orange tips on the already rich yellow foliage. Since it is low and flat growing it can be an effective groundcover. Requires good drainage and a bit of mild fertilizer in the spring to stimulate flowering. To keep the plant looking full and lush, a bit of pruning can be advantageous. Plant with dark green plants for maximum contrast.
