This cultivar of 'Uva Ursi will grow a bit taller than the species, up to 1 ft. tall and 3-4 ft wide. The foliage is quite good on this one, being shiny and dark green. As a manzanita, the stems are red with exfoliating bark, but this is covered by the foliage. In spring, small white flowers (sparce) appear and are followed by red fruit. Found by Percy Everett of Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in around the Gualala area near Mendocino, CA. Hardy to 15-20 deg F.
