Similar to Cordyline 'Red Sensation' this 'spiky' textured evergreen perennial will be a super contrasting plant in any garden. When you have mostly green shrubs, it is always desirable to add in another color, and even better, a contrasting form.
For its first couple of years, the plant will grow like a flare of broad red leaves, giving the appearance of a grass, but will eventually branch, producing several heads. The plant can be allowed to grow up to a tree-like structure, or can be pruned to stay like a grass. Hardy to around 15 degrees F.
