Found by Doug Wills of Sandy, Oregon while elk hunting in the Wallowa Mountains, this dwarf conical Lodgepole Pine is so unusual. The foliage is a rich green in the summer, but it turns a bright "Schoolbus Yellow" in the winter. This little tree will grow to 2ft tall and 1ft wide in 10 years, but will end up at 4 ft. For winter color this is THE BEST! This pine is a bit finicky, and many experienced conifer growers lose it, so this one is not for the novice.
