A sport of the well known Hinoki cypress 'Kosteri'. Growing a bit faster, the foliage is more 'loose' as a juvenile plant, but will become tighter with age. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 4.5 feet (1.5 m) tall and two-thirds as wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 6 inches. Year round interest for the small garden, and is worth growing for its look. Hardy to -30 degrees. USDA zone 4.
