One of the most well known red leaf Japanese maple. This non-dissected type will grow into a small, rounded, deciduous tree which typically will be 15-20 ft tall and about the same wide in time. The purplish-red flowers in spring add a delightful sparkle to the tree. In summer the tree is a deep reddish-purple, and the leaves are larger than most Japanese maple cultivars. In fall the leaves turn a good crimson-red color. May also be grown as a multi-stemmed shrub.
