The only information I can find on this cultivar is that it is a selected form of the native deciduous azalea Az. calendulaceum. This large growing native azalea has lovely ball-shaped trusses of orange/pink flowers. The name is like one of those fruit hybrids like a cross between a tangerine and a mango.
