This Chinese Astilbe is a smaller, more compact form of Astilbe with raspberry-purple plumes of flowers, and blooms in late spring. The plant likes a shady spot, and will light up the darker corners of your woodland garden. The bronze-green leaves look elegant as they are finely dissected and lush. Works well in containers, or in the front of a bed. Deer resistant and tolerant of dry conditions. Hardy to zone 3.
