Touted as the best yellow foliage Japanese maple for hot climates. The tree was introduced by Fratelli Gilardelli of Milano, Italy, and is reported to hold up very well in hot sunny locations. The foliage opens with some pink of the edges, then fades to a bright yellow for the summer. Then, in fall the tree becomes red-orange. Hardy to zone 5. Recommended.
