Popular for its stunning, reticulated dark red and pink leaves that emerge in the springtime. The veins are even a darker purple-red, adding interest. The tree grows slowly, attaining a height of 5-6 ft tall and 4-5 ft wide in 10 years. The name translates as 'soft drizzle'. Plant in full sun, or partial shade for a happy tree, and give it good draining soil with lots of organic matter. Hardy to zone 5.
