Being quite similar to the 'Reeseville Selection' of Fraser fir, one might pick this one as a good choice for a small garden. The habit is compact and columnar, with short horizontal branches and short, dense needles, keeping the tree narrow and tight. We like the dark green, shiny needles and the upright, resinous cones. This one can grow up to 6 ft tall, but only 1.5 - 2 ft wide. Hardy to zone 3.
