Abies firma 'Halgren'
This Momi, or Japanese fir is noteworthy for its ability to thrive in warm humid environments. Prefers full sun in well-drained soil. 7' tall x 3' wide in 10 years. Selected for its exceptionally dense growth, and dark green needles. Cones up on a young specimen tree. Narrow form when young, becoming more broad at maturity. The needles are sharply two-pointed, especially in young trees and have two bands of lighter color on their undersides. Hardy to -10 degrees. USDA zone 6.
